  • Latinas Unidas: A female only organization, opened to all races and backgrounds.
  • COLORS: The six members debated what colors they wanted to choose for the organization. They wanted bold, vibrant colors as a reflection of their ethnic backgrounds and personalities. Eventually they ladies decided Turquoise and Limón green.
  • SYMBOL: The  symbol for Latinas Unidas was designed by founding member Tiffany Borrego. It has a sunflower because the sunflower survives best when it is in the sun, and it is constantly growing trying to touch the sun. A girl was added on to the symbol with her arm stretching into the air to represent the Latinas Unidas members continuing to reach for the sun, continuing to grow, and to strive, just like the sunflower.
